Well, my midwife has assured me that all this up and down and awkwardness is normal and he's definitely hit a growth spurt (I gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks), but that all looks good, and I don't need to pack my bags just yet. She keeps reminding me that everything is a lot more obvious with the second one, but the good news is that the labor is usually shorter. =)
In other news, John had his interview today, but I'll let him tell you about that. He's on his way home now to a wife and son who miss him a lot (I just put Timothy to bed to a chorus of "Daddy, miss...") The interview seemed to go well, now all we have to do is wait. Thanks to all of you for your prayers. We both feel good about it, we're just waiting on the committee...

We've kept you in our thoughts and prayers. Hopefully you will hear back soon from the committee.
It's true with labor at least for me it was. Kaleb took a long time after they started the pitocin. Zoe after they induced me in a couple of hours she was born. Both of my kids went a week passed their due dates so they thought it was best to induce. It is neat that you are able to do the midwife thing. My older sister has done it and she enjoyed the experience. Sorry I am rambling. I hope all the best with the job.
My second labor was so much better than my first. Maybe because you know what is going to happen and plus the delivery was so much shorter! Charly was about 2 hrs of delivery and Reed was only 20 mins. Yeah. Good luck.
We'll definitely keep our fingers crossed for you guys--that would be terrific. Keep your chin up pregnancy wise--you know you're in the hardest stretch...you'll make it!
